Big Island Mayor Remains Hospitalized

HONOLULU (KHNL) - Big Island Mayor Harry Kim remained hospitalized Wednesday night on O'ahu.

Kim is recovering from bacterial pneumonia at the Queen's Medical Center.

Mayor Kim was taken by ambulance from a Korean airlines plane after arriving from Indonesia.

He was initially placed in isolation to rule out a contagious condition.

The mayor was suffering from chills and a high fever.

A spokesperson from his office today says he is getting better and can't wait to get back to work.
