HONOLULU (KHNL)  - The 67-year-old Hawaii mayor is being treated for flu-like conditions at the Queens Medical Center after returning from a trip to Indonesia.

Kim's office says he was checked into Queens on sunday. At one point mayor Kim was kept in isolation to rule out a contagious condition.

The mayor is now out of isolation. He was suffering from severe chills and had a very high fever when his flight arrived in Honolulu.

His office says Kim is doing well and is in good spirits.

But, it is not known when the mayor will be released from hospital.
