By Minna Sugimoto

HONOLULU (KHNL) - A recycler accused of accepting stolen copper appears before an Oahu judge.

Kyung Hee Chon pleaded not guilty to theft and copper law violations Monday morning. Police arrested her at Aiea Recycling in Kalihi February 22nd, following a three-month investigation.

Undercover officers say the 44-year-old bought a large spool of copper wire, clearly belonging to Hawaiian Electric Company, without questions.

Her trial is set for May 7th.
