Oahu Indie Film Has High Hopes for HIFF & Sundance

HONOLULU (KHNL) - Cast and crew are putting the finishing touches on an independent film shot here in the islands, that hopes to make a big impression at the Sundance Film Festival!

"All for Melissa" is a made for cable romantic comedy that stars Andy Bumatai, Christina Simpkins, and Milan Tresnak. Producers attracted interest in this low budget film and raised tens of thousands of dollars, thanks to Act 221, which offers companies equal tax credit for every day invested in Hawaii's high tech or performing arts fields.

Not only will this locally made film be shown at the Hawaii International Film Festival this spring, "All for Melissa" hopes to attract attention at national festivals as well.
