East-West Center Analyzes Challenges of Asian Innovation

MANOA (KHNL) - Friends of the East-West Center presents a free "Let's Talk" seminar on Wednesday February 28 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in the East-West Center Burns Hall Staff lounge. 

Dr. Meheroo Jussawalla, Senior Fellow Emerita at East-West Center, will talk about "The Challenge of Innovation: India and China Compared." Dr. Jussawalla has taught and lectured in the United States, Germany and India, her native country. She is a member of the Editorial Board for Information Economics and Policy Journal; a member of the Board of Directors, International Institute of Communications, London, and Board of Trustees member, Pacific Telecommunications Council.

Her research interests include telecommunications trade between US-Japan, satellite orbital competition over the Pacific, privatization of telecommunications monopolies in the Asia Pacific region, Infrastructure growth in China and the markets for cellular mobile networks.
