(KHNL) -- An Oahu school teacher who authorities say admitted to being a drug addict will have to wait another week for a chance at freedom.

A federal judge Tuesday postponed Bronwyn Kugle's bail hearing until February 27th. Kugle, who's accused of conspiring to distribute Cocaine and Ecstasy, requested the delay.

The 38-year-old is a resource teacher at Kaelepulu Elementary in Kailua.

Federal agents arrested her at her Ulumawao Street home last week. They say she accepted the delivery of a package that she believed contained drugs from California. Investigators had intercepted the real parcel the day before.

Also on Tuesday, the judge paved the way for Kugle's co-defendant, 28-year-old Jesse Badillo, to be released on bond. But prosecutors are appealing that decision.
