Fujikawa Wins Hawaii Pearl Open Crown

PEARL CITY (KHNL) - 16 year old Tadd Fujikawa shot a final-round 68 to win the 28th Hawaii Pearl Open today at Pearl Country Club. Just a month ago he became the youngest golfer in 50 years to make a PGA Tour cut.

Fujikawa and Hawai'i professional Greg Meyer were tied down the stretch at 10-under overall. Fujikawa drained a short putt on the 18th for the victory.

Meyer, who is a four-time Pearl Open champion, still collected first-place money of $12,000, as Fujikawa, a Moanalua High School sophomore, is an amateur.
