(KHNL) -- Two men suspected in a drug-related murder at a Kapiolani apartment last month make their first court appearance in the case.

Thirty-two-year-old Curtis Brooks and 27-year-old Sistine Rangamar are charged with murder, kidnapping and robbery.

The body of Ted Arifuku was found in his studio apartment on Kapiolani Boulevard January 15th. The victim had facial and head injuries, and his hands were tied behind him.

According to a police affidavit, "Arifuku made his living selling illegal drugs such as marijuana, methamphetamine, and various prescription tablets."

The affidavit says a witness "described how Rangamar and Brooks had planned to rob Arifuku of drugs and money."

Bail for each suspect is set at $750,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday.
