HONOLULU (KHNL) - Tuesday is Inauguration Day for City and County Council members on Oahu and Maui. The Honolulu City Council take their oaths of office at Honolulu Hale at noon.
One of the major decisions Honolulu members face is whether Oahu will get a rail line or a bus system. The Council has already voted in favor of building a mass transit system on Oahu.
Maui County Council members also take their oaths today. The nine-member council is led by Maui's new mayor, Charmaine Tavares.
