Mother Arrested In Ewa Beach Baby Murder

(KHNL) - An Ewa Beach woman is locked up in the Honolulu Police Department's main cellblock, accused of killing her baby.

The little boy was found unresponsive at a home on Kaikala Street earlier this week. An autopsy determined one-year-old Dante Puni died from "assaultive head trauma."

Police say Child Protective Services has since taken custody of the three other children who live in the house.

Officers arrested the baby's 25-year-old mother on suspicion of murder Friday afternoon.
