AIEA (KHNL) - Mother Nature created some slick conditions on Oahu.

One driver in Aiea says Mother Nature contributed to his accident.

"I was coming down the ramp over here and hit some debris on the road, with the wet weather also, lost control of the vehicle," said Leenus Chock, driver.

The 23-year-old says his car drifted on Aiea Access Road, hit another vehicle and overturned. Chock says he was driving well below the 25 mile-per-hour speed limit.

"It's a pretty slow speed, it's about 15, going down the ramp," he said.

He suffered cuts on his arm.

"Seatbelt probably saved my life," he said.

Transportation officials say crews resurfaced Aiea Access Road earlier this year.

"A guy in the back of me lost control also but he managed to drive off," said Chock.

Crews will check the road to see if it may be too slippery for drivers like Chock.

He's just grateful that he survived without any major injuries.
