President Bush Arrives At Hickam Monday Evening

(KHNL) - President Bush is scheduled to land in Hawaii at 6pm on Monday, but his arrival could be delayed. A mechanical problem was found on Air Force One during while the president was in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam before flying to Jakarta, Indonesia. The president will have to switch to a smaller aircraft as he wraps up his visit to Asia.

The White House isn't saying what grounded the Boeing 747. After visiting Indonesia, Bush will fly to Hawaii on the first leg of a long flight back to Washington.

When he lands at Hickam Air Force Base Monday evening, Governor Lingle and local military officials will greet him and take him to dinner. Tuesday morning the president have breakfast with the troops on base. He is then scheduled to attend a briefing with local military commanders before heading back to the nation's capital.
