Tainted Pain Pills May Have Been Sold in Isle Stores

HONOLULU (KHNL) - You might want to check your medicine cabinet, the national recall of a popular painkiller affects those sold at Hawaii's Longs Drugs, Walmarts and Safeway stores.

11 million bottles containing varying quantities of Acetaminophen caplets are being recalled because of concern there could be metal in them.

The pills were sold under store brands by more than 120 big chain stores, according to the Food and Drug Administration. Federal officials say metal of various sizes turned up in some of the caplets.

The FDA says it doesn't have any reports of people getting sick. The pills are made by Perrigo.
