(KHNL) - Another day of wet weather across the state, Thursday.

Earlier in the day flash flood warnings blanketed parts of Oahu, Kauai and Maui county.

It was a wet morning on Oahu, the brunt of the heavy showrers East Oahu communities like Hawaii Kai, as well as the Windward side.

"We used to have a drain and it's been taken out when they re-did the sewer system over here. So we just keep waiting. And there's nothing you can do," Alan Jacobsen, Kailua resident.

Sandbags kept water from rushing into Jacobsen's home.

Crew moved in to suck the water off roadways.

Bad weather makes for a busy day for certain workers. Near Makapuu, Honolulu Police arm themselves with shovels after portions of this hillside crumble onto Kalanianaole Highway.

Just down the road, Hawaiian Electric crews brave the rain to replace a transformer and restore power to a research building in the area.

All in all a wet Thursday, but relief is in sight, with the heaviest parts of the storm system moving past our state.
