Honolulu Police are investigating the shooting that happened at about 11 o'clock Saturday night at Mayor Wright Housing in Palama.
Police say the shooting was over a noise complaint. After an initial confrontation the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim one time.
"My cousin came out here and my other cousin started running up. And then this one micronesian, the one who had his hand wrapped with the gun, he started shooting like four times," said Junior Leokono, the victim's cousin.
He was taken to the Queen's Medical Center just before midnight.The victim arrived to the hospital in critical condition and has since been upgraded to good condition.
