The primary election is just days away.

The candidates for US Senate have both been on the campaign trail trying to drum up that final support.

On Monday morning, Democratic candidate for US Senate, Congressman Ed Case, stopped by the KHNL News 8 morning show to make one more pitch to Hawaii voters.

"This isn't new to me, I've been in politics for 30 years now," Case said. "I've been in elected office directly for 12 years now. I've been in the US House for four years now. I have worked very, very successfully just in four years, not just the national issues on balancing our budget, trying to work on protecting our environment, but on bringing home the bacon to Hawaii, I've spent a lot of time on that."

One of Case's main messages is of planning ahead for the future of Hawaii, for the time when Hawaii's Senior Senator Daniel Inouye's political career comes to an end.
