Bounty Hunter Appears in Today Show Exclusive Interview

(KHNL) Dog the Bounty Hunter's federal arrest continues to capture national headlines.

The latest chapter, took place early Monday morning, as Duane "Dog" Chapman, and his wife, Beth, conducted a "live interview", via satellite, with the Today Show's Natalie Morales.

Sitting comfortably at their Portlock home, Dog and Beth Chapman calmly and sharply answered questions, despite the 3 o'clock interview time.

NBC's Natalie morales asked, "Are you surprised then that this arrest warrant is now going to be enforced, and what do you expect?"

Chapman responded, "I was surprised because when I left Mexico, they said that it was a very minor crime and you know my lawyer actually took me out of Mexico and brought me to the United States, so you know i'm without words and i just have no idea."

Chapman is enjoying a bit of freedom, after posting 300-thousand bail, last Friday, which allowed him to appear on the Today Show.

But, he must wear an electronic monitoring device, along the way.

Chapman, and with his son Leland, and associate, Timothy Chapman, are being sought by the Mexican government, in connection with their 2003 capture of convicted rapist, Max Factor cosmetics heir, Andrew Luster.
