Suspects In Waianae Beating Death Appear In Court

(KHNL) -- The three men accused in a deadly road rage incident in Waianae made their first court appearance Friday.

Thirty-five-year-old Julius Mitchell, 32-year-old Lugavai Momoe and 22-year-old Dillion Lepolo are each charged with murder. They're accused of beating a bicyclist to death last Friday night.

Police say Roger Haudenshild was brutally assaulted in the parking lot of the Waianae Market following a traffic incident. Witnesses say the attackers beat the 47-year-old until he was unconscious, then continued punching and kicking him for several minutes.

The three suspects turned themselves in earlier this week. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
