(KHNL) - One man is dead and police are searching for suspects.

The man died following a brutal attack by three men. It happened in Waianae at around seven o'clock Friday night.

Police are calling it a senseless beating that left a bicyclist dead at a local market on the Leeward side.

The incident started off as an argument between a man on a bike and three men in a car.

The situation escalated at the waianae market on farrington highway.

Police say the men in the car chased down the man on the bike and began punching him.

Witnesses told police all three men pummeled the victim. He suffered a severe beating and died a short time later at the hospital.

The victim is described as Waianae men in his mid forties. The suspects were in their 20s.

Police did find the car the three men were driving and they are talking to the owner.

Police believe the owner loaned the car to his son for the evening.

There are apparently several witnesses including the girlfriend of the victim who are helping police identify the murder suspects.
