(KHNL) - Bikers were rolling through Aiea Saturday.
But not on the roads. With choppers parked outside of Aiea bowl, bikers hit the lanes to stop people from hitting kids.
They're were reeving up their engines and raising money by bowling, to help knockdown an alarming trend; an increase in child abuse and neglect here in Hawaii.
We had seven thousand cases of child abuse last year in the islands.
Many who deal with this touchy subject realize in order to make a difference they will have to take this message into every community.
This benefit bowl also had plenty of fun to spare, people got a chance to go hog wild at a barbecue buffet or take part in biker themed contests.
