Cab Driver Talks to Police About Shooting

(KHNL) - He took a bullet to his neck three nights ago. Monday, an Oahu taxi driver was able to communicate with Honolulu police for the first time since the shooting.

Detectives say they interviewed Yukyu Kim at the Queen's Medical Center. The 52-year-old cab driver was shot near the First Hawaiian Bank ATM at Pearlridge Friday night.

Police are still looking for the suspect, who took off in the victim's taxi. Officers later found the van abandoned on Likelike Highway.

Investigators with the police department's robbery detail took over the case Monday morning. Police are still running tests to see if the gun found at the scene was the one used in the shooting.
