Samoa Says No To Hawaiian Air

(KHNL) - Hawaiian Airlines has been ordered to stop flying to American Samoa.

American Samoa's governor issued an executive order giving the airline 90 days to withdraw from the territory, claiming Hawaiian Airlines engages in discriminatory and predatory practices along with ethnic harassment toward people there.

The governor had asked the airline to voluntarily withdraw its service.

But Hawaiian Airlines issued this statement--"we are confident the order has no legal power... And hawaiian has responded in good faith to all of the governor's concerns".

Hawaiian Airlines is the only carrier that flies between Honolulu and Pago Pago.
