PEARL CITY (KHNL) - A cab driver was critically wounded after he was shot in the neck last evening around 9:15pm.  It happened in Pearl City near the First Hawaiian Bank on Moanalua Road, just behind the Pearlridge Mall.  Witnesses at the nearby Sizzler restaurant reported hearing the gun shot and Police say the suspect fled in the taxi drivers van.  The vehicle was later found abandoned on the windward side of the H3 Freeway near the Likelike off ramp.  The suspect has not been apprehended.

"At around 21:12 we had a report of a shooting close to Pearlridge Shopping Center. A male victim was located with a gunshot wound to the neck area. He was transported to Queens hospital in critical condition. The suspect apparently fled in the victim's van, we've located the van on near H3 and the Likelike off-ramp. Witnesses report that the suspect fled from the van." says Major Deborah Tandal of HPD.
