(KHNL) Real estate mogul Donald Trump wants to put his mark on Hawaii. Plans are underway to build a Trump luxury hotel right here on Oahu.

"The Donald" has became most recognized for his reality TV role, on "The Apprentice". Tuesday he announced big plans for his Waikiki high-rise. It will include 460 units for both residential and hotel use.

The "Trump International Hotel and Tower" will be located at Kalia and Saratoga streets. Construction begins early next year.

In a statement, Trump said the tower will be "the most luxurious development in Waikiki."

The non-casino condo-hotel is slated to open in early 2008.  Only 100 of the 1,282 units, which range from 635 to 3,500 square feet and cost from $755,000 to $4.2 million, are still for sale.

The new development will be featured in the season finale of "The Apprentice" which airs on Monday June 5th at 8:30 PM on KHNL NBC 8.
