(Khnl) - The Waialua community is grieving the loss of two teenagers, who died in a single-car accident early yesterday.

Shane bachiller and Lanikila Vierra were both 18 and set to graduate from high school soon.

Shane bachiller turned 18 on Friday, and celebrated with his mom.

"I took off friday and we spent the day together. And he told me mommy, thank you, I love you.

That was the last time she saw her son. The following morning, Shane and another friend, Lanakila Vierra, were killed in a single-car accident on a treacherous road near Waialua.

Three others were also hurt. The accident happened on Kaukonahua Road at 3:45 a.m. Saturday.

That's when police say the driver lost control of the vehicle, veered to the right, causing the car to flip over.

Cassmates have turned the accident site into a makeshift memorial for the teens. They were both eighteen and getting ready to graduate in a couple of weeks.

At home, Shane's family keeps his picture, belongings and sports trophies.

Police say alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Funeral services have not yet been arranged.
