HONOLULU (KHNL) -- Calling him a danger to society, Honolulu prosecutors on Tuesday asked a judge to increase the bail for a convicted felon accused of sexually assaulting a child. The judge granted the request and hiked Paul Lincoln's bail from $15,000 to $75,000.
Also on Tuesday, an Oahu Grand Jury indicted the 56-year-old on sex assault and drug promotion charges.
He's accused of fondling an eight-year-old girl as she was playing with other kids at the Beretania Community Park last week. Investigators say a police officer was at the park and witnessed the assault.
"We take all these cases seriously because, you know, in this particular case, I mean, I don't think you can characterize it as just a fondling case," Rom Trader, deputy prosecutor, said. "This man put his hands on an eight-year-old child, or is alleged to have. That conduct is not going to be tolerated."
