(KHNL) Why would a group of three men want to kill 31-year-old Jason Nam?

That is the question H-P-D homicide detectives are asking today.

Nam was shot in the neck at his apartment complex on South Berentania Street late Friday afternoon. That is across the street from Central Union Church.

Police say witnesses saw three men argue with the victim. They had hoods and one even had a mask. Another may have worn a red bandana.  They were armed with a baseball bat and a gun.

One suspect shot Nam in the neck. The shooting happened as Nam was washing his car. The victim was rushed to Queen's Medical Center where he was  pronounced dead.

They fled the scene in a black Nissan. Around 9:30pm the suspect's car was found burned in Mililani. Witnesses told police the suspects jumped into a dark colored van.
