(KHNL)  More rains are expected Monday on Windward Oahu, Kauai, and Maui County, following a soggy weekend in Hawaii.

The wet weather hit communities on Oahu stretching from Kaneohe to Hauula.

Flooded streets forced Oahu Civil Defense to close one lane of Kamehameha Highway in Waiahole.

"It's complicated, when it's raining like this, there's a lot of traffic and you got your speeders, weird drivers too," said Carlos Ruiz, a local driver.

Rain completely drenched the Windward side of the Island.

While the rain may have dampened the spirits of some Island residents, others enjoyed it and didn't let Mother Nature ruin their day.

A basketball league in Kaneohe stuck to its scheduled event outdoors. Kids were happy to tell us what they were doing.

"Getting dirty," said a young girl.

And some parents didn't seem to mind.

"Tomorrow there's no school, so what the heck, let them have fun," said Isabel Brighter, parent.
