(KHNL) They're hoping love springs eternal at the Honolulu Zoo.
The long-awaited uniting of Rusti the orangutan with habitat-mate Violet will happen this weekend.
Rusti and Violet will debut to the public Saturday.
Now because they are two different hybrid species of orangatan's handlers won't allow them to reproduce.
And of course they're shacking up in some new digs. You can find their new enclosure located behind the reptile house.
Violet comes to Honolulu via the San Diego Zoo. She had to be quarantined for thirty days before meeting Rusti.
