MOLOKAI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Maui Electric Company officials say power has been restored to all customers on Molokai who were left in the dark after Tropical Storm Olivia crossed over the islands, bringing gusty winds and heavy rain.
Power was restored around 11 p.m. Thursday, officials said.
The affected customers were on the eastern end of the island, and in a small isolated pocket in Kaluakoi.
The outage happened on Wednesday, after Olivia made landfall on Maui.
MECO officials said it took crews a little longer to begin damage assessments and repairs due to the severe flooding in the area.
Additional workers from Maui were flown in Thursday morning to assist.
