Eastbound lanes on Vineyard Blvd reopened after crews repair water main

TRAFFIC ALERT: Water main break snarls traffic near Vineyard Boulevard headed east

KALIHI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Eastbound lanes of  N.Vineyard Boulevard have been reopened between Pua Lane and Liliha Street on Saturday after Board of Water Supply Crews repaired a broken water main.

Officials also reopened the H-1 eastbound Vineyard off-ramp, after completing repairs to the road and restoring water service to all affected customers.

The main broke just before 4 p.m. Friday afternoon causing severe traffic backlog and gushing water onto nearby roads. Crews were able to complete repairs after working overnight on Friday into Saturday evening.
