Here's a milestone in rebuilding from the Puna lava – the Small Business Administration reports its lending in the disaster zone has already topped $10 million – actually $10.2 million. About $1 million has gone to businesses, the rest to residents. The SBA emergency office is at Keaau High.

Hawaiian Airlines is hiring – it has customer service and ramp agent positions at Kahului, Lihue and Kona. For the Kahului openings there is a job fair Saturday at the MACC. Lihue next week and Kona the week after. More on the airline website.

Denny's is hiring in Waikiki – 120 people needed for the new location, opening in about four weeks on Kapahulu across from the zoo. This Denny's has been a project of Don Horner, former CEO of First Hawaiian Bank.
