Prosecutors pay tribute to Pono, Hawaii's first courthouse dog

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A tribute ceremony was held for Hawaii's first courthouse dog was held on Thursday at the Mission Memorial Auditorium

Pono served for seven years to help calm and console crime victims and witnesses in Hawaii courts.

She died recently at the age of 10.

The Prosecutors office says "Pono" loved to wear costumes, and at the tribute, several attendees were wearing costumes to honor her memory.
