HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two men wanted in connection with a shooting death of an aspiring rapper in Florida were arrested Tuesday in Hawaii after being on the run for nearly three weeks.
Honolulu police records show 24-year-old Shaquille Walker and 29-year-old Jose Lebron were arrested at HPD headquarters.
According to The Florida Times-Union, the two were sought for tampering with evidence in the investigation. Walker is also accused of carrying a concealed firearm.
Both turned themselves in around 2:15 p.m. and are awaiting extradition back to Florida.
On June 24, Leon D'Shawn Bennett, also known as rapper Lee Kahn, was shot after he was involved in a fight with several other people outside of a restaurant, The Florida Times-Union said. Someone in a vehicle shot Bennett while he was walking on the sidewalk.
