HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Coming off an International Fight Week that featured two fighters from the islands in Rachael Ostovich and Brad Tavares, the UFC is giving three more local fighters the opportunity to earn a contract with the promotion.
This afternoon, Maui's Joey Gomez, Riley Dutro and Ewa Beach native Toby Misech will fight on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series.
Tuesday Night Contender Series has already seen Hawaii fighters make a name for themselves over the past couple of seasons, with Haleiwa's Dan Ige winning on the show before he announced himself to the UFC's featherweight division just last month at UFC 225 and Waianae native Boston Salmon following suit.
The series allows fighters from around the country to impress in front of White and UFC matchmakers for a shot at a UFC contract.
The fights will air live on the UFC Fight Pass app at 2:00 pm HST.
