More noises may be heard near Schofield Barracks due to training exercises

SCHOFIELD BARRACKS (HawaiiNewsNow) - A heads up for residents near Schofield Barracks: The U.S. Army will be holding multiple training exercises this month that may be heard in surrounding communities.

Starting Monday, there will be demolition and explosive simulation training, as well as helicopter operations.

These training exercises will take place during daytime and nighttime hours.

The military also wants to remind the public that the Rim of the Pacific exercises will continue through Aug. 2. The community may notice more training and aviation activity.
