Light winds and showers to start the new work week. We'll see trade winds at 10-20 mph by afternoon. Leeward will be your best bet for blue sky.

High in Honolulu will be about 88 degrees.

Showery trade wind weather will continue into this morning over Kauai and windward Oahu, as an old frontal boundary dissipates over the western end of the state.

Drier and more stable conditions are expected to gradually spread across the state this afternoon and tonight, then continue through Thursday. Trades will remain somewhat weaker through tonight, then become breezy once again heading into the middle of the week.

Breezy trade winds are then forecast to continue through the rest of the week, with wetter conditions returning by Friday.

Surf is small all around. The east shores have dropped with the lighter winds. South sides will see a moderate boost late Tuesday.

Waves today will be 3-5 feet east, 1-3 south and west, 2 feet or less north.
