Head coaches announced for 2019 Polynesian Bowl

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The 2019 Polynesian Bowl is still finalizing its roster of high school all-star football players, but it's already landed its head coaches for next year's third annual game.

Mike Bellotti, the winningest head coach in the University of Oregon's history and former Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn man the sidelines of next year's Polynesian Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Aloha Stadium.

Bellotti, who was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014, will coach Team Makai while Zorn will have the task of coaching Team Mauka.

"The Polynesian Bowl has become one of the premier high school all-star games in the nation overnight," Bellotti said in a press release. "I'm excited to be part of this special celebration of football and culture."

The high school football all-star game will be broadcast live on the mainland on CBS Sports Network.
