Aloha. As a nation, we are feeling the voices of our youth.
Whether it's in Florida, Washington D.C, or right here at home, our youth are catalyzing global change.
Over the next couple of weeks, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs along with Kamehameha Schools will be sponsoring an upcoming series of debates with candidates for our governor, lieutenant governor and congressional races.
We believe that a world class education integrates values and experiences that will grow students into leaders.
Civic engagement is critical in developing leaders who have a balanced, insightful view of the world.
And allowing students from across our state to question, challenge and engage with candidates provides them the opportunity to advocate for their generation.
We have kuleana to lift these voices. These debates allow our keiki to be heard and we're excited to hear what they will have to say.
So tune in, get engaged, and vote in the upcoming elections.
E ho'olohe i na keiki.
