WAIANAE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Lifeguards are urging beachgoers to stay out of the water near Pokai Bay on Sunday after a 10- to 12 foot shark was spotted in the area.
Ocean Safety officials have re-posted signs at the popular spot after a busy week of shark sightings. County officials believe that the shark sighted on Sunday is the same one that has been seen in the same area for over a week.
On Monday, a 12-foot and a 14-foot shark were spotted about 50 yards offshore. And on Thursday a 10-foot shark was spotted about 200 yards offshore.
