Missing Laumaka work furlough inmate arrested

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu Police arrested a missing work furlough inmate Friday afternoon.

Officials at the Laumaka Work Furlough Center say 41-year-old Mark Cheshire failed to return to the center on Wednesday.

He had a day pass and was supposed to return at 8 p.m.

Cheshire is currently serving time for terroristic threatening. He was initially approved for parole pending a release date by the parole chair.

Cheshire will now be processed and returned to OCCC.

He will also face an additional escape charge.
