Woman and child in serious condition after head-on collision with fire truck

NORTH SHORE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A woman and child are in serious condition after getting into a collision with a fire truck on Tuesday evening.

According to EMS, paramedics responded to the two-vehicle collision around 5:30 p.m. in the North Shore area. The accident happened near 53-549 Kamehameha Highway.

No one in the fire truck was harmed, but the 72-year-old woman and her 7-year-old passenger are being treated in the emergency room for serious injuries.
