Want to track the Kilauea volcanic activity? County releases interactive map

KILAUEA VOLCANO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - The eruptions at Kilauea's east rift zone continue, one by one, spurting lava at various parts of lower Puna.

The Hawaii County Civil Defense has a useful tool for those who want to monitor the situation: an interactive map.

The map features filters that you can control to take a look at main road closures, fissure locations, lava flow outline, USGS seismic data, east rift zone area and high risk lava activity.

The map also shows roadblocks, HELCO power outages and the area of Puna Geothermal.

It also shows which fissures are active or not active.
