Despite an up-and-down 2017-2018 season, the Rainbow Wahine softball team had two standout performers during the season in Nicole Lopez and Callee Heen.
Lopez was named to the All-Big West First Team while Heen received a second team honor.
Lopez, a third baseman,.was named to her second-straight all-Big West first team. In her career, she has started in 156 straight games at third. She finished the year hitting .306 with a team-high 49 hits in 160 at-bats. She was tied with a team-best 26 runs scored and six doubles.
Heen, a sophomore catcher/designated player, started all 50 games this year (30 at catcher and 20 as the designated player). She finished the season hitting a team-best .333 (45-for-135) and was tied with Lopez with team-highs of 26 runs scored and six doubles.
She also led the Rainbow Wahine with 14 home runs, 37 RBI, 24 walks and a .704 slugging percentage.
