The cooling trade winds will start the work week, keeping humidity and volcanic haze levels low for most spots. A front to the north will weaken the trades Tuesday and Wednesday, which could spell a day or two of afternoon clouds and isolated showers, but the winds should rebound for the second half of the week, with the usual light windward and mauka showers.

Small Craft Advisory remains up overnight for channel waters and the usual windier waters around Maui County and the Big Island. Surf is on the way up for north and west shores, and a SSW swell is gradually building through Tuesday.
