We have lost the trade winds overnight.

Winds will be light and variable.

An overall flow from the east will keep windward neighborhoods a bit damp. Leeward is your best bet for blue sky and sunshine.

A warm afternoon. The high in Honolulu will push to 85 degrees.

Trade winds have dropped off for the next couple of days as a surface trough develops over the area later today through Friday night. A new surface high will pass north of the area over the weekend into early next week and strengthen slightly, bringing locally breezy trade winds back to the state.

Surf continues to drop lower out in the country. No significant swells are in the forecast.

Waves today will be 6-9 feet north, 3-6 feet west, 1-3 feet east and south.

No marine or weather advisories are posted.
