SandBows and Rainbow Warriors to represent Hawaii at USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The beach volleyball season might be over the SandBows, but two Wahine will to continue their playing days this week on the national level.

Hawaii beach volleyball players Cali Bunn and Presley Forbes will represent the Wahine at the USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships in Hermosa Beach, California. The tournament takes place tomorrow, May 10, through May 12.

The pair will compete in a 30-team bracket featuring 16 teams from across the country including NCAA runner-up Florida State -- who defeated the SandBows last weekend -- and Big West squads Cal Poly and Long Beach State.

Pool play will start on Thursday with a single-elimination bracket continuing on Friday and Saturday.

In addition to the Wahine, there will also be two Rainbow Warriors playing in the eight-team men's bracket which with Brett Rosenmeier and Colton Cowell competing for the second-straight year after finishing fourth in 2017.

The women's and men's teams will be playing for a spot to represent the United States at the 2018 FISU World University Championship.
