HFD rescues injured hiker on Koko Head Trail

KOKO HEAD (Hawaii News Now) -

A hiker was rescued by Honolulu firefighters on Monday night after falling and getting injured on Koko Head Trail. 

Two visiting hikers had completed three quarters of the hike when one of them, a 26-year-old woman, fell and was injured just before 7 p.m. HFD met the woman by foot at 7:34 p.m. and airlifted her via helicopter to the landing zone at Koko Head District Park.

The woman was then transferred to Emergency Medical Services.
