ALABAMA (HawaiiNewsNow) - After defeating South Carolina in the 2018 NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship opening match this morning, the SandBows kept their national title dreams alive with an impressive victory over No. 2 Pepperdine this afternoon.

No. 3 Hawaii (37-3) took a giant step toward a national title after a nail-biting 3-2 set victory over Pepperdine shortly after upending the Gamecocks 3-0. Those wins propelled the 'Bows into the tournament semifinals on Saturday, guaranteeing the Wahine one of three spots in Sunday's Championship round. Pepperdine defeated the SandBows in last year's NCAA semifinals.

Tomorrow, Hawaii will face-off against No. 4 seed Florida State (32-6) at 10 a.m. HT with a spot in the Sunday's title match on the line.
