HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - As new eruptions continue at Kilauea's east rift zone, many are left wondering: How will this affect my travel plans to and from the Big Island?
Hawaiian Airlines wants to let customers know that it is waiving reservation change fees for those who purchased tickets to and from Hilo and Kona.
Guests can make a reservation change without having to pay a fee through May 6.
However, the airline has a few requirements:
- The ticket was issued May 3 or earlier.
- Affected flights were originally scheduled for travel between May 3 and 6.
- Changes may be made to the same class of service, origin and destination, for new flights no later than May 13, 2018.
- The change fee will be waived for changes made to new flights after May 13, but an applicable difference in fare will be collected.
Normal refund rules will apply.
